10 Frequently Asked Questions About Registration, Discounts and Refunds

1. What do I need to know about the conference passes – what is included? The conference pass price will increase after October 31 so be certain to book early. This year is different than prior years, in that the conference pass does not include your accommodations – we felt this gave attendees additional flexibility in booking their stays. Passes do include all conference activities and events: the TechTalks sessions, breakfast/coffee breaks, lunches, active-networking afternoon activities, and dinners. Note, too, that tickets are not refundable, but they are transferable.

2. What else is there to do at the conference beside attend the TechTalks sessions? – We’ll have plenty of fun ways to get to know your fellow TechTalk attendees. On Tuesday afternoon, our active-networking gives you the choice of a surfing/SUP session, taking a boat trip for snorkeling or diving the Marietas Islands, or playing championship golf on the private Jack Nicklaus Signature Pacifico golf course, with its signature island green. Evenings at TechTalks are known for their cool, casual, under-the-stars cocktails + dinners by the sea, with a few after-parties to follow.

3. How will you help me meet other attendees? – In addition to events and meals designed to help you connect with each other, we’ll have a pre-arrival kit emailed to you, with a brief bio of each attendee, and how they are looking to connect. We limit the number of participants to just 150, to encourage building great connections with other attendees.

4. When will you announce the agenda? – We’re confirming new speakers and panelists every week, and we’ll announce the schedule for speakers and complete conference agenda by mid-October.

5. What are the hotel options for conference attendees? Our preferred partner for accommodations is the St. Regis Resort Punta Mita, where the TechTalks sessions will take place. Special conference rates are available through October 25th, so be sure to book early! We also have hotel information for the Four Seasons Punta Mita, Iberostar Playa Mita, CINCO Punta Mita and Palladium hotels – all located close to the TechTalks. You may book the accommodations that best meet your preferences and budget.

6. Are there discounts for startups/entrepreneurs or volunteer opportunities? – We are offering a limited number of discounted event passes and “scholarships” for startups. Please email TechTalksRegister@mitainstitute.com for more information. We can’t guarantee volunteer spots at this time so we urge you to register for your tickets while prices are at Early Bird rates. We’ll give priority to students if we need volunteers at the event.

7. How can I learn about sponsoring the event? – Send us an email: TechTalksSponsors@MitaInstitute.com

8. How do I apply to register as press? – Send us an email: TechTalksMedia@MitaInstitute.com

9. How do I apply to be a speaker or presenter? – Send us an email: TechTalksSpeaker@MitaInstitute.com

10. What is your refund policy? – All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable to the person you designate.
