Hilda Camacho

Hilda Camacho has a brilliant background and is a leader in tech innovation in Mexico. She studied both electrical engineering and computer science at the UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México) where she earned a Masters degree in telecommunications, as well as participated in an exchange program at M.I.T. for intelligent interfaces. She led an early tech incubator program at UNAM – considered as one of Mexico’s leading universities in applied technologies. She then developed a specialty in creating software and systems for airports, and oversaw the development of the air traffic control and flight communications system for the Mexico City airport – one of the world’s busiest – and the first of its kind developed with Mexican technology.

That work led her to Puerto Vallarta, to create a similar system at this region’s airport. Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts learned of Hilda’s tech talents, and enlisted her to create a (at the time) ground breaking tech access program and back of house system for their new resort in Punta Mita. That project led to others with Four Seasons, mapping the tech systems for their new hotels in Miami, San Francisco, Buenos Aries and Uruguay. In 2004, Hilda – with the birth of her daughter – decided to reduce her travel, so created her own tech consulting and development company, SitiSystems. Among her first projects was software development for managing residential units of rental and property management companies.
Always looking for new challenges and opportunities, Hilda travels to the U.S. an average of five times per year to stay current of tech certifications and add new credentials. She operates to the same standards as U.S. certifications. Today, at SitiSystems, she oversees a team of technicians trained to her exacting standards for performance and service. Hilda is the mentor overseeing all IT aspects of MITA portfolio companies, as well as MITA accelerator operations.
