MITA Ventures combines a venture fund with a strategic mentoring program— drawing on our deep network in Silicon Valley — for technology companies from Mexico, as well as fostering the expansion of US and Latin American companies into the Mexico market. Based in San Francisco, CA and Punta Mita, Mexico, MITA works to foster cross-cultural opportunities in technology, and respond to the demand for identifying opportunities and funding investments in Mexico. The goal is to enable emerging talent to develop into successful business stories.
Our objectives for MITA are ambitious – to be the leader in mentoring tech entrepreneurship in Mexico, and to solve real world problems and industry inefficiencies. Through this, we also strive to create a close alliance between the Silicon Valley/San Francisco and Mexico’s startup communities.
MITA Ventures is the only fund of its type with a stellar advisory board, seasoned mentors and a mix of successful investors deeply rooted in both Silicon Valley and Mexico.

MITA Ventures is focused on making investments in early-stage technology and Internet startups that demonstrate the potential to disrupt their market. Our partners work directly with our teams to add value, and build these ideas game-changing companies. MITA Ventures provides capital to young companies, through new sources of capital skilled at investing in technology, together with active mentorship. MITA Fund II will also provide later-stage funding for proven companies expanding into the Mexico/LatAm market. The MITA Fund is supported by its close ties to Silicon Valley, Austin and other key regions for tech innovation and investing. We also work to identify opportunities for grants and public funding support.
MITA Ventures will primarily explore and identify investment opportunities with companies that offer particular technology-related goods and services that are developed by Mexican entrepreneurs, or will extend into the Mexican and Latin American markets, but we are of a global mindset, and are open to all opportunities.
MITA Ventures generates a valuable pipeline of investment opportunities as the most selective and premier partner for capital and mentorship in Latin America. This pipeline is growing from our alliances with Mexico’s top university incubation programs, established VC funds, and with the growing startup community network within Mexico, where MITA Ventures is an active participant.
We believe in building a supportive and collaborative relationship between MITA Ventures and the entrepreneurs and teams in which we invest, and strive to add value. MITA Venture’s partners are directly involved in our interactions with our teams.

MITA Ventures offers a strategic advisory and customized mentorship program tailored to support the unique needs of selected companies. MITA Ventures’s partners and mentors consist of multicultural professionals with extensive experience in entrepreneurship, technology and investing, with long-term relationships in the region and throughout the United States. Our financial, academic, policy and organizational partners – together with MITA Venture’s Mentors in Residence – provide high-level networking and guidance to our selected teams in areas including business planning, marketing, product design and IT.
MITA has partners located in Mexico City and Punta Mita, Mexico, San Francisco and Austin, TX.
MITA’s unique structure and locations offer Mexican teams with unparalleled opportunities to finance, develop, and sell their projects to international investors. We know this is a gap that currently exists in Mexico, and MITA Ventures is working to enable talent in this region to develop into successful businesses.

MITA TechTalks is the premier tech and venture capital event of the year in Mexico/Latin America. This exclusive event unites decision-makers from the worlds’ visionary companies, established tech industry veterans, prominent venture capitalists, policy makers and innovative entrepreneurs from both sides of the U.S. – Mexico border.
